Math Equals Me is a supplemental math education company that helps schools, districts, and out-of-school time programs nationwide close the math confidence gap for students in grades K–8. We offer standards-aligned math confidence kits, student workshops, speaking engagements, and professional development, all built around the belief that math confidence and math identity are the foundation for stronger engagement, persistence, and outcomes in math.
Each kit includes a 24-page math activity workbook featuring the story of a modern mathematician, a screen-free manipulative, stickers, an affirmation, a motivation chart, a caring adult guide, an educator facilitation guide, and a fun themed item tied to the kit topic.
Math Equals Me is designed for schools, school districts, and out-of-school time programs serving students in grades K–8. Our kits and programs are built to be inclusive and culturally responsive, and work well in traditional schools, charter schools, afterschool programs, summer camps, and youth-serving organizations.
We offer a one-time K–2 Little Learners Bundle for early learners, as well as Subscription Plans, Classroom Packs, and Bulk Orders for grades 3–8. Not sure which option is right for your program? Schedule a Discovery Call and we’ll help you figure it out.
We offer several ways to bring Math Equals Me into your program. Our Subscription Plan is a strong fit for small groups, clubs, and intervention settings. Classroom Packs work well for schools and teachers who want to supplement their existing math instruction. One-Time Bulk Orders are a good option for afterschool programs, camps, and larger educational initiatives. We also offer a one-time K–2 Little Learners Bundle for early elementary learners. In addition, workshops, speaking engagements, and professional development are available as standalone services or as add-ons to any kit order.
We recommend using a kit 2–3 times per week for about 4–6 weeks, with each session lasting around 20 minutes. That usually gives you roughly 2.5 to 6 hours of direct use, depending on your schedule and how deeply students move through the materials. In many settings, the kit can last even longer when educators incorporate discussion prompts, vocabulary refreshers, extend-the-learning activities, and other supports from the Educator Guide. It may also take additional time when a concept needs to be reviewed with a student before they begin parts of the workbook, which is to be expected with some of the material. The kits are intentionally flexible, so students can revisit the workbook, manipulatives, and mathematician feature more than once.
No, we are not a tutoring company. We are a supplemental math confidence company that partners with schools, districts, and out-of-school time programs to help students build math confidence and reduce math anxiety through kits, workshops, and professional development. While some tutors have used our kits to support their sessions, our primary focus is serving students through educational institutions and programs.
We do not position our kits as a direct test score solution, because test scores are influenced by many factors. What our kits are designed to do is help students build math confidence, reduce math anxiety, and engage more positively with math through standards-aligned, real-world learning experiences. Those are important conditions for stronger performance over time. So while schools may see positive academic ripple effects, the outcome we stand behind most directly is a meaningful shift in how students feel about themselves in math and how willing they are to participate, persist, and try. This aligns with how your overview describes the kits as standards-aligned, hands-on resources designed to close the math confidence gap through real-world math, storytelling, and growth mindset support.
We look at impact at both the student level and the educator level. For students, we track things like confidence, excitement about math, and whether students see themselves as capable in math. For educators, we track satisfaction and whether the resource feels useful and actionable in practice. For example, in our Royal Oak Middle School partnership, students reported an 88% increase in math confidence, 100% said they would want the kits to continue, and 75% said they saw themselves as someone who can do well in math after using the kits. We have also maintained 100% educator approval on professional development feedback.

Our Math Confidence Kits are aligned to Common Core math standards, which makes them easier to use alongside your existing curriculum and programming. Each kit is built around grade-level math skills such as fractions, decimals, percentages, geometry, word problems, multiplication and division, and critical thinking, while also helping students build confidence and connection to math. This means schools and programs can use the kits to reinforce academic learning without sacrificing engagement, relevance, or student support.
Yes. Professional development is available as a standalone offering or as an add-on to any kit package. We highly recommend it because it helps educators and staff understand the purpose behind the kits, feel more confident facilitating them, and get the most out of the experience. Sessions are available both in person and virtually.
Once you submit a purchase order or accept our quote, please allow up to four weeks for your order to be fulfilled and shipped. If you have a specific deadline or program start date, we encourage you to let us know as early as possible so we can plan accordingly.
