About Math Equals Me
Math Equals Me is a supplemental math education company on a mission to close the math confidence gap for K–8 students. We partner with schools, districts, and out-of-school time programs to build the kind of math culture where students see themselves as math people — and believe it.
We get to the [square] root of the problem. Math anxiety is real, and test scores don’t fix it. Math Equals Me addresses math confidence and math identity directly, through our hands-on K-8 math confidence kits, culturally responsive student workshops, and professional development that equips educators to create a positive math culture in their classrooms and programs.
Our work meets students where they are and gives the adults in the room the tools to take them further.

The Math Enthusiast Behind Math Equals Me
Math Equals Me was founded by Brittany Rhodes, a Spelman College mathematics graduate and Carnegie Mellon MBA with 20+ years of experience as a math tutor and out-of-school time math instructor. Brittany has been featured in Forbes, Good Morning America, and Beyoncé.com and, more importantly, she’s spent years working directly with K–8 students outside the traditional classroom, meeting them where they are and building the math confidence that school alone doesn’t always provide.
